| Henry02 | Feb 26, 10:39am | I have posted this in the SU Features group, someone suggest this group as a possible source for my (?) problem.
I finally figured out where/how to use the Normal/Visual Editor Plus. I did some edits of a SU (in "Favorites > My Blog"), but I cannot get editor to save my changes. What are the conditions (if any) to saving changes? This is day three (?), so I do not think the problem is SU overload, but at this point, who knows?
Any help in store would be much appreciated?
Thanks much. |

Does the text you wrote in the Edit boxes show on your blog when you press Save Changes? |

Also, can you edit using the Normal editor, and does this problem apply to new posts? |

| Henry02 | Feb 26, 5:28pm | I tried saving in the "Normal Editor" with no result. Though I am not that proficient in HTML... & to be clearer, I did press "Save Changes," this is where it would not save the changes. There would be intermittent times when the sandclock would appear... for 5 or 10 minutes, but nothing would happen. Also, I tried surfing to another site, come back to edited page, & the edit would refresh with the original unedited items.
Thlayli, you mention "Visual Editor Plus userscript disabled?" Is it possible there is some way to access some parameter or other that I am missing? I looked in my preferences & found nothing like that.
Thanks again. |

However, if you can't post even with the Normal editor, there's a bigger problem. Do you use any other extensions? NoScript? Adblock? Lots of extensions can cause problems. |

| Henry02 | Feb 27, 8:41am | I have been using "Spy Bot/Search & Destroy," which did, when I tried it first, actually find a couple of problems. I actually was planning on asking about security measures schemes, as the last time I tried to do an edit & save it, I right clicked an image in the edit field & it said something about "blocking." I didn't make a note, so I can't exactly quote... but I'm going back to try a couple of things (I have the firewall in XP security center turned on too...).
I'll be back (most probably). Thanks for the tip on "Greasemonkey," all scripts listed were enabled, though. |

|
| Henry02 | Feb 27, 9:31am | I was just now, looking for a way to disable it, temporarily, however, it appears not an option (or very a well concealed one :) ). I'll try un-installing. Thanks. I'll report back, one way or the other.

I tried uninstalling Spy Bot, didn't make a difference. I tried turning off script in Greasemonkey, same. Back to the drawing board, I guess. |

The only reason it was suggested you come here (where there are fewer people to assist) was the use of my Visual Editor Plus userscript. Since it seems to be unrelated to the problem, Help or perhaps Bugs would be the right forum. |

1, Close Firefox
2, Go to Run in Windows and type "firefox.exe -ProfileManager" without the quotes and press Enter
3, Click Create New Profile and follow the instructions
4, Make sure your New Profile is selected and press Start Firefox
5, Install StumbleUpon Toolbar and sign in.
6, Try to see if you can edit your blog.
If it doesn´t work with your newly created Firefox profile you can delete it from the Firefox Profile Manager and use the Default Profile, with all your settings as they were before you created the new profile.
As well, try Pressing Tools->Sign-Out on the StumbleUpon Toolbar and sign in again to see if that helps..
You can also try running Firefox in Error safe mode by closing Firefox and going to Run in Windows and typing in "firefox.exe -Safe-Mode" without the quotes and press Enter. |
