| | sphoo | Mar 14, 6:05pm | hello everybody,
i've some trouble with SU2B - i followed the instructions but the script quits the conversion every time after a few seconds with this alert:
"SU2Bookmarks has detected a slow or broken connection.
you may need to restart the conversion."
... but my connection is allright. what can i do to fix this? where to look for errors?
this is what i can tell you so far:
- i'm using win xp home ed.
- firefox 2.0.0.11
- latest version of greasemonkey & this script (just installed both
- all other extensions disabled
- 16k adsl-web-connection, running behind router (a very simple one, port 80 tcp and udp transfers allowed)
so, this is the first time i'm using greasemonkey and i don't know much about scripts - i hope someone here can tell me what to do to get this working :)
thank you for taking your time,
greets! |

Sponsor | northpaw | Jun 18, 11:55am | I've been carrying around the last set of bookmarks I gathered with SU2Bookmarks for quite a while. Now, in Firefox 3, I *think* that initiating the new SU beta toolbar's exporting favorites function has tagged many (though not all) of those old bookmarks with SU (and their topic).
So, I'm looking for someone who...
1. Has Firefox 3
2. Has bookmarks gathered by SU2Bookmarks
3. Has NOT used the new SU beta toolbar's export feature
...to tell me whether or not their old SU2Bookmarks items have Firefox tags associated with them. You can check easily by opening the appropriate subfolders in the Library (aka "Organize Bookmarks").
EDIT: Nevermind. I forgot I had a spare profile I could check. It does indeed appear that the new SU beta toolbar's export favorites function tagged those old bookmarks. Kind of odd - anybody know why? (and why it would only tag some of them?) |

Sponsor | Thlayli | Jun 18, 12:12pm | | Probably because the title and URL were the same, so it didn't make a new bookmark. The ones where it didn't add a tag probably had a new/different title or a redirected URL and therefore didn't get recognized as a duplicate. |
